Bear Hides' can be acquired by killing wild Bears and then skinning them. These beasts of nature can be found randomly generated around the map.
The Bear hide can then be hung on a Drying Frame to produce Thick Dried Hide. Thick Dried Hide is then processed with 4 Water in a Tanning Tub to produce Thick Leather.
Be warned! They are very formidable foes, with high blunt damage, and medium to high slashing damage. They are best killed by groups of hunters. Another hunting technique is to use a lancer against the bear or shoot at it from a high ranger and "kite" by riding away with a horse when it gets too close.
