The Beehive is used to produce honey. You must have 30 in the Procuration skill in order to extract honey from the hive. Like most harvesting skills, your level will determine the maximum quality you extract.
The quality of the honey in the beehive is supposedly determined by the soil quality of the 5x5 area around it. A test was done however where 100q soil was planted, harvested, and a hive put on it. The hive components were not high quality either, so the hive appears to be like the well in that regard. When the hive produced honey, it was 98q even though the soil around it was well below that level.
Make a 5x5 square, plant a farm crop on it, harvest the crop, and place a beehive in the middle. The beehive will then produce honey forever. You only need to plant, harvest, and place the hive to get started however. You can work on the rest of the 5x5 area after the hive is already down in other words. A hive placed in the woods next to a tree will produce a small amount of low quality honey too.
The quality of the honey in the beehive is determined by the soil quality of the 5x5 area around it.All you have to do is make a 5x5 square, plant a farm crop on it, then harvest the crop and place a beehive in the middle. The beehive will then continue to produce honey forever.
Soil ID | Soil name | Amount of honey per day |
---|---|---|
9 | steppesoil ? | 12 |
10 | loosenstepsoil ? | 6 |
7 | SOIL | 4 |
8 | loosenforestsoil | 2 |
26 | swamp | -4 |
When the amount of honey in the beehive is more than 300g (equivalent weight of one honey unit) you can get it using 'Extract Honey' ability of Procuration skill.
