Blacksmith's shop is a workshop equipped with a forge, and can be used for smelting or forging weapons, metal tools, and armors. All crafting done at the blacksmith's shop gets a 20% bonus to the result's quality, limited by the crafter's skill level.
To use it, first you have to insert some fuel and light it: right click on the device and then select Manage Smelting Building, put in some charcoal, softwood or hardwood billets, or any wooden item. Light the building and then right click again, you will see additional options for crafting.
The blacksmith's shop cannot heat up to temperatures beyond 1'500 degrees, therefore you cannot recycle or smelt steel at the blacksmith's shop. Instead use a bloomery.
