The Forge and anvil is a device used for forging, smelting and armorsmithing.
To use it, first you have to insert some fuel and light it: right click on the device and then select Manage Smelting Building, put in some charcoal, softwood or hardwood billets, or any wooden item. Light the forge, exit the manage window and then right click again, you will see additional options for crafting.

Forging[ | ]
To start forging you need Smelting at level 30 to Unlock your Forging skill. You will require a blacksmith's hammer (or its primitive counterpart) and you will need to light on the Forge. You can choose to craft either weapons, metal tools or armors:

To make weapons you will require to be at least level 30 in Forging.
Forging metal tools[ | ]
The first thing you must craft is the Blacksmith's hammer for it will be required to craft everything else at the Forge and Anvil. It is the only item that can be crafted using the primitive hammer on the Forge and Anvil.
