Marble is a light-colored stone which may be obtained from the ground with a pickaxe and terraforming "dig a tunnel" options.
It may be seen on the map as very light areas such as on the NE of the big mountain.
One use for it is to shape it into Marble plate with a pickaxe, which is required to upgrade a Monument to level 2. Marble plate is also used in more complex buildings such as the fountain and castle keep.
