Skill ID 17

Materials Preparation is one of the four tier 2 crafting skills in the Artisan branch. It allows to build simple constructions like a kiln or a furnace and to build wooden and plaster shacks as well as Sign on level 100. Level 30 of Artisan is required to learn this skill. To increase Materials Preparation past level 30, Artisan skill must be at level 60.

• If you have access to snow, crafting snowballs out of snow is an even easier and quicker method to quickly increase your skill in Materials Preparation with level 0.
• Digging and Material Preparation can both be trained by mining rocks and then shaping them.
• Molding clay tiles at level 30 can boost your skill level.
