Mortar is required in building complex structures.

Crafting

To craft mortar, place all the materials in the Kiln. Light the Kiln using fuel, then use bellows to heat the materials to 1000 or higher. The pull out command will then allow you to get Mortar.

Process examples

Materials	Note
1x Flux 2x Rock 10x Sand	Produces 5 Mortar in a single pull.
10x Flux 20x Rock 100x Sand	Produces 50 Mortar with 10 pulls. Pull load will result in 45 Mortar, but is done in only a single pull.
14x Flux 39x Rock 140x Sand 17x Charcoal	The maximum amount of materials one can place in a Kiln is 200. This recipe produces 70 Mortar with 14 pulls.

Pull load of mortar

If you use the action "pull out a load of mortar" you will produce 5 Mortar less than if you made it in 10 individual pulls. Only benefit from taking the load is the decrease in time used, which can translate to fuel usage.
