A softwood billet is often used as a fuel, primarily for cooking, or in a kiln, furnace, Blacksmith's shop, or forge and anvil.
A softwood billet plus 10 Nails can be crafted with a knife to make a small repair kit.
To obtain a softwood billet, you must use a Saw or Primitive saw on a Softwood log. No skill is required (Technically, Carpentry at 0).
Softwood logs yield up to 20 billets. Inspecting a log gives the number of stones as the number before the "/". Divide it by 10 to determine the number of billets it will yield.
Billets can be stacked.
- Softwood billets come from Pine trees, Spruce trees, Apple trees and Mulberry trees
- Softwood billets can be used as fuel source in the Kiln, Kitchen, Blacksmith's shop, Forge, Furnace or Campfire.
- Softwood billets burn for less than 5 minutes, degrading with quality and cannot be used for the Use bellows feature.
- Softwood billets cannot be turned into Charcoal in the Kiln, you must use Hardwood billets.
