Description

Must be made out of 150 irregular alloys. The minimum smelting temperature of a vostaskus ingot is 2,000 degrees.

Be careful, smelting a vostaskus ingot is a very long process and uses a lot of charcoal.

Smelting process

Smelting the copper/steel/silver & gold into irregular alloys is easy. But heating irregular alloy is very tricky and is validated by the developers.

1. Put your 150 or 300 irregular alloys in the bloomery.
2. Raise temperature to 2,000 degrees.
3. The progression will stop when it reaches red, around 1/5.
4. Let the temperature cooldown to 500 degrees (Tip: Toss a lot of items in the bloomery and get them back quickly with CTRL+Left click).
5. WAIT at 500 degrees until the progression bar raises suddenly, then raise the temperature to 2,000 degrees again.
6. Wait a moment (1 minute or so).
7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until you can smelt the alloys into bars (30 irregular alloys = 1 vostaskus bar, this is the reason why you need a multiple of 150 irregular for 1 ingot which need 5 bars).
8. Put 5 vostaskus bars into the bloomery, then raise and maintain the temperature at 2,000 degrees without letting it go down until you can smelt them into the final ingot.

Shortened explanation:

1. Fill bloomery with irregular alloy and fuel, leaving space for cooldown items.
2. Raise temperature to 2,000 degrees.
3. Each time the progress bar moves alternate temperatures between 2,000 and 500 degrees.
   • Cooldown may be accelerated via quickly putting in and taking out a stack of bars or ore which will fit into the bloomery, pre-plan this!
4. Once the progress is complete you may smelt your vostaskus bars. You may not directly smelt ingots.
5. Heat 5 bars per ingot desired to 2,000 degrees and let them heat through. Smelt into ingots.
